Sunday evening, planning the week, and wanting it to survive contact with Wednesday.
Plan my dinners for the week below. Build it around constraints, not around variety for its own sake. Rules: - Ingredients must overlap. If I buy a bunch of coriander or a tub of cream on Monday, something later in the week uses the rest of it. Tell me which meals share what. - Put the longest cooking on the days I say I have time, and 20 minute meals on the days I do not. - Include at least one meal that deliberately makes extra for the following day, and say what the second day version becomes. - Assume one night the plan collapses. Include a fallback meal from the store cupboard that needs nothing fresh. Output: a day by day table with the dish, rough time, and any prep to do the night before. Then a note on what to cook first so nothing goes off. How many people: Nights I need to cover, and which are busy: What we will not eat: Budget and shopping habits:
Planning and hosting. Week plans, shopping lists, batch cooking, drinks, and getting several dishes hot at the same time.
