A report, contract, or spec you have to understand but not read twice.
Summarise the document below for someone who has to act on it and will not read the original. Structure: 1. **The claim** in one sentence. What is this document arguing or asking for? 2. **The five things that matter**, each with the section or page they come from. 3. **What is decided versus what is proposed.** Keep these strictly apart. 4. **Numbers and dates** that a reader would be embarrassed to get wrong. 5. **What the document does not cover** that a reader would reasonably assume it does. Rules: use the document's own terms rather than paraphrasing them into something neater. If a passage is ambiguous, quote it and say it is ambiguous. Do not add context from your own knowledge unless you label it clearly as yours. Document:
