A real budget ceiling you're not going to quietly exceed.
Find a gift that is good at this price, not a compromised version of a more expensive one. Rules: 1. Stay under the ceiling including delivery and wrapping. Assume no discounts. 2. Prefer things that are complete at this price over entry-level versions of expensive things. A good small thing beats a cheap big thing. 3. Give me eight ideas across different types: consumable, practical, sentimental, useful-for-their-hobby, and one made rather than bought. 4. For each, say why it does not read as cheap. Do not quote exact prices as fact: prices change and you will be wrong. Give a rough band and tell me which of these I should price-check first. If my budget is genuinely too low for what I have described wanting, tell me so and suggest what to change: the recipient's expectation, the type of gift, or going in with someone else. Budget and occasion: About the person:
Finding a gift. Ideas built from what you know about the person: to a budget, made by hand, or needed tonight.
