A thank-you note that shows I noticed

After a gift, a stay, or someone doing more than they had to.

Write a thank-you note that names the specific thing they did rather than the category, and says what difference it made.

Four to six sentences, warm rather than effusive. End with something real instead of a vague promise to catch up. Use only what I give you, and mark the one sentence I could cut to shorten it.

Cards, toasts and notes. The words that go with it: card messages, toasts, thank-yous, condolences and invitations.
