Is this a real problem or just my taste?

Before sending design feedback that might be preference dressed as principle.

Sort every point in my design feedback into two lists: things that will genuinely cost a user something, and things that are my preference stated as a rule. For the first list, give the fix. For the second, say so plainly so I can drop it before I send this.
