Before you send a written reading to someone who is going to take it seriously.
Critique the reading I have written below, as an experienced editor who does not flatter. Check, in order: 1. **Groundedness.** Does every claim trace back to a symbol actually present in the chart or spread? Quote anything that does not. 2. **Barnum statements.** Quote every line that would be true of almost anyone. 3. **Overreach.** Any line that predicts an event, diagnoses a condition, advises on money or law, or speaks with certainty about a third person's feelings. These are the serious problems, so list them first in your summary. 4. **Tone.** Where am I being vague to avoid saying something difficult, and where am I being harsh without cause? 5. **Craft.** Repeated phrasing, clichรฉ, keyword lists that never became sentences. End with one sentence naming the single change that would most improve it. If the reading is already sound, say so plainly and do not invent faults. Reading:
Writing and craft. Horoscope voice, ritual text, card descriptions, and fiction built from the archetypes.
