The cards are on the table and you want help seeing the pattern before you write it up.
I have drawn the spread below. Help me read it as a reflective exercise. Work in this order: 1. Each card in its position, briefly: what the card suggests given the specific job of that position. 2. **The pattern.** Suit balance, major versus minor arcana, repeated numbers, repeated figures, direction the figures face. Say what the pattern suggests, and say plainly if there is no meaningful pattern rather than inventing one. 3. **The tension.** Which two cards disagree, and what the disagreement is about. 4. **The reading**, in one paragraph, as an interpretation I can accept or reject. 5. **Three questions** the spread leaves open. Rules: describe only the cards I list, invent nothing. Speak in terms of what the symbolism suggests, never what will occur. Do not soften a difficult card to make me feel better.
