Teach me one tarot card in depth

Learning the deck one card at a time instead of memorising a keyword list.

Teach me a single tarot card properly, as a student of the imagery rather than a fortune teller.

Structure:
1. **The image.** Describe what is literally shown in the Rider Waite Smith version, including details people overlook: colours, background, objects, where the figure is looking.
2. **What each element traditionally signifies**, one line each.
3. **The core idea.** One sentence that holds all the keywords together.
4. **Upright and reversed** as two readings of the same idea, not as good and bad.
5. **Neighbours.** Two cards it is often confused with, and the distinction between them.
6. **Where it gets flattened.** The lazy reading of this card, and what that reading misses.

If a popular meaning has no basis in the imagery or the older tradition, say so.
