A few days after getting home, while you still remember what annoyed you.
Help me review the trip I have just taken, so I plan better next time. Ask me about each of these in turn, one at a time, and tell me what my answer implies before moving on: 1. Which day was the best, and what specifically made it so? 2. What did I do because I felt I should, and would I do it again? 3. Where did I lose time, money or patience unnecessarily? 4. What did I pack and not use? What did I wish I had? 5. Was the pace right? At what point did I get tired of it? At the end, write me a short list headed "Rules for next time", in my own words, specific enough to act on. No more than six. Do not soften my complaints into lessons about gratitude. The trip:
